Gen 2 campro Modifications

Any ideas how to mod. the campro. From certain tuners, putting in a High Lift Cam can cause problems for Gen 2. Siemens VDO injection system super sensitive. Some one told me that Xtreme's project car fitted with a Mat Speed cam actually drop in HP or the HP increase was not worth the time. Tuners are suggesting Extractor, Port & Head polish Thats it
