Check Engine Light's On

Need help from all vtec sifu, my car is ej9 with single cam vtec, when I rev up my engine (tarik) after few gear change my check engine light will on, why? what is the problem and how to repair it? i'm new with vtec engine. Any idea?

In the Car-manual (booklet) provided with the car...
They have a section for troubleshooting and they will give a few symptoms to why the Engine Check light is ON
Sometimes if u forget to plug the Airflow sensor cable..it turns on...but there are other reasons as well...

check engine warning light has something to with the EFI system and linked to the ECU.

any fault with regard to ECU, wire harness, fusible links, relays or sensors then the light will come on to advise the driver.

Honda has the handheld computer tester to check this - as any franchise workshop like EON, UMW Toyota or NAZAKia for example.

i suspect its a false warning - easily erased using the computer.

try to reset the memory 1st...disconnect ur negative battery terminal for 30seconds like tat....

if still pop up the CEL, then only diagnose...

do u know how is ur Data Link Connector look like? and wat is ur engine code?

i maybe can help u coz i hv the repair software for honda...

i had this problem twice too

once when i went through one steet that was flooded quite high
i accelerate all the way and can hear a loud noise coming out from my exhaust
and engine
air could not come out from my exhaust

it started blinking for almost half a day
next day it was back to normal

2nd time was 2 days ago
i didn't do anything..but duno why it was blinking
only stayed for 2 hours then is back to normal again

i noticed nowadays my engine is quite hard to start when my petrol is near to empty

if happen after flooded, change ur engine oil,gear oil,axle oil. it may mix wit water....check ur fuel tank as well...the water may go into it.

CEL is on when u go thru flood is because some of the sensors get wet, tat y it lights on.

I thought that it's normal water came out from the exhaust, it's a by product of the combustion, just what i think, correct me if i'm wrong

but not in that quantity
