auto camshafts vs manual camshafts

is there any difference between manual camshafts and auto camshafts? i searched the toyota parts list and found out that there's different parts no between manual and auto camshafts but TRIAL told me that TOYOTA sometimes put different part no for manual and auto eventhough it's the same stuff. appreciate your kind feedbacks.

Bro,

The camshafts for auto and manual should be the same. Different part numbers probably indicate that the grind profile for inlet and exhaust is different.

Grind profiles can be changed to suit the driver's needs..such as fuel efficiency etc..

If u wanna use racing camshafts (i.e hks, crower etc) most probably VVti has to be abandoned..
