Alonso is deffo feeling the heat this time around. Last year, Renault held the momentum going into each race. They were catching up on McLaren in terms of performance and they held the points advantage. They knew they called the shots.

This season, they were heads and shoulders above everyone before suddenly, Ferrari came and pulled the carpet from under them. And the way Ferrari has revived its fortunes and increased their performances so dramatically has Renault backpaddling. Now Ferrari hold the aces and Renault are on the ropes.

That is why Alonso seems like a flustered man and not the cucumber cool fellow he was before.

i personally do not like team Renault. heh heh

but they do make F1 more interesting by giving challenges to Ferrari, which showed dominant from 2001-2005.

at least, i cud stay awake to watch the whole race.

otherwise, back in 2003..i cud have slept halfway past the race and dint bother much as the winner was already known from the beginning.

from now to the very last race wud be interesting to catch up. seaosn winner is open between 2 teams and 2 drivers. Formula 1 fun is back!

Alonso Receives Two-Second Penalty

The Stewards have penalised Alonso on Friday for dangerous driving in front of Robert Doornbos during free practice. According to Alonso, Doornbos was blocking him, and when Alonso managed to overtake him he deliberately drive slowly in front of Doornbos. Other than Alonso incident with Doornbos, Alonso overtook him under yellow flags. These two incidents will now cost Alonso one second each during qualifying. Wonder how will Alonso make up for lost ground.

Alonso is doom, what he can hope is cars in front of him get retired, Hungary is one of the race circuit in F1 calender with minimum overtaking possibilities. 2 secs may put him at P10+

He's now positioned 15th. Not what he wanted especially when he's in the period of the season where every points count. I think he just completely lost it when Robert Dumbass blocked him and he overtook him and brake tested him. Thats a dangerous to do when you're driving at speeds of over 200kmh. He deserved the penalty. No doubt about it.

Schumacher is not any better. Also got a 2 sec penalty and just lost perhaps the best opportunity in the world to pip Alonso, even more in a race where overtaking is impossible. Don't tell me FIA set up all this dramas to make the race more interesting. Haha.

I suspect Michelin have a part to play in Renaults suddenth turn in fortune. At times you see they just suddently fade away after a pit stop and thats not good news. Bridgestone has always been the reliable tyre. And of coz Renault has some problem with their mass damper system.

Alonso's frustration could be forgiven as he's used to having the best car especially for the whole of last year. He's young and restless and that made him do that stupid stuff to Robert Dornbos. Michael was just like that, say 10 years ago when he was starting to make a name for himself.

Schumi got 2 sec penalty by overtake 2 cars under red flag at Saturday free practice session.
you'll see 3 ferrari engine line up in front of alonso tomorro.

with Renault wonderful laugh control, overtaking the 2 Redbull shouldn't be a problem for him.


I seriously want to see video for both Alonso and Schumachar 2 penalty incident, hope that iTV is so nice they reply those scene before the race start.

Button is going to start on the 14th position. That means Alonso will have to pass three cars to catch Schumacher.

Fantastic race! Hungary has never been this exciting before, it always known to be a real boring race without any overtaking. I want rain in every other circuit from now on.

My heart goes out to Michael. He gave his very best in those tyres and for a true representation of Brisgestone performance in the rain, you just need to look at Massa's pace. Thats the real performance(Massa) of a Ferrari and Michael's pace was just from another planet. And Michael was just gambling with intermediate tyres when racing the guys in dry tyres.

Pedro De La Rosa has a superb race too. Though he lacks the cutting edge, he was calm in the rain and has a solid weekend. You could see him celebrating though finishing 2nd place.

Last but not least, Jenson Button. This time a superb race coupled with good luck won it for him. I never thought he could have won his first race so soon, but anyways you could see the whole Honda team. They were simply ecstatic with joy!

Overall, its the best race we have so far.

I wouldn't say it was a great race, it was good though. But it certainly was incident packed, which is always good for a spectator.

I'm happy for Button. Finally his first GP win. He must be elated. And he was just on Top Gear the other week where Clarkson asked him this very embarassing question. I think he has the answer now. Hell, he should be on Top Gear everytime from now one . It seemed to end his barren run.

Why didn't Schumacher pit for a change of tyres? Why risk it especially when Alonso ran into trouble (about fucking time he had some bad luck of his own)? He could have went for tyres and still have enough time to catch up and gain more points. Strange. Heroic effort in those intermediates though. Those tyres were completely knackered when he finally packed up.

Strange incident involving Kimi. What was that all about? What was Liuzzi doing slowing dramatically all of a sudden?

What a race that full of events. A race that sees Renault and Williams lost both of their drivers and also a race that Button end his losing streak. A list of finishers in the points that hardly anyone could expect to be. As we saw Renault and Williams losing both their drivers, Honda and BMW Sauber had both of their drivers in the points. What a good performance from Heidfeld and Kubica.

Based on the interview conducted with those drivers involved in the crashed Kimi caused, it was Kimi's fault as Liuzzi was slowing down to let Kimi through. I wonder why Kimi don't take the outer line but to go straight on to the back of Liuzzi.

Button and De La Rosa had a strong race with Button starting from 14th to claim the chequered flag and De La Rosa after a spun still manage to clinch second spot on the podium.

It's pure bad luck on Alonso as he had been doing well for the first half of the race. I think Button took all Alonso's luck in this race.:_:

Schumacher had been struggling in the first half of the race. As the track started to dry up, Schumacher started to respond to Alonso's quick lap time. However, it's bad luck for Schumacher in the end as he had given up the chance of closing down the gap in the driver's championship by driving way too defensive to hold on to third place and touches Heidfeld's BMW. We would see much more action from both Schumacher and Alonso in the final five races as the gap is still 11 points. The 2006 F1 is getting more interesting.

The 2006 Hungary GP is so far the best race I've seen this year.
Like what bro prodigy said, I hope the last five races will held under raining conditions so that we can have more actions to see.:_:

Kubica disqualified, Schumacher scores

Robert Kubica has been disqualified from the results of the Hungarian Grand Prix after his BMW Sauber was found to be underweight following the race. Kubica had finished seventh on his Formula One debut.

Stewards praised the "assistance and cooperation" they received from the BMW Sauber team, who proved that Kubica’s car was inadvertently 2 kilograms below the minimum requirement because of "excessive and unexpected tyre wear (and therefore weight loss) through continued use of wet-weather tyres in comparison to the accustomed and anticipated rate of wear of dry tyres."

The stewards nevertheless had no choice but to exclude the car as it did not comply with Article 4.1 of the Technical Regulations. BMW Sauber did not contest the decision. It means Felipe Massa moves up to seventh place, with Michael Schumacher now classified eighth, despite not finishing the race.

The point Schumacher scores means he is now just ten behind Fernando Alonso in the drivers’ championship standings, while Ferrari are only seven behind Renault in the race for the constructors’ crown.
