On Kimi's crash, i guess it was just a misunderstanding with nobody to blame. Liuzzi was just trying to be nice and lifted off to allow Kimi to pass. Kimi on the other hand did not expect Liuzzi to lift at that point and just couldn't swerve on time. As Kimi pointed out, its just plain unlucky that a couple of things happening at the same time therefore Kimi had no time to react therefore crashing. Real shame considering he was in a good position at that point.
On Michael's choice of tyre, he just had no choice. First, his timing of pitstop certainly didn't help much. Secondly, knowing his main rival is already out, he had to take a gamble and score as many points as possible. If he had pitted a few laps prior to being overtaken by De La Rosa, at best he might have finished 4th or 5th. If he had continued and risk it all by battling with De La Rosa, he could have kept 2nd and thats a lot of point close down by Michael. Its the wrong decision afterall but i would say he definitely had to take the gamble. Remember in Nurburgring last year when Kimi's tyre started blistering when he was far and away in the lead. He didn't want to pit simply because he thought he could have lasted just another lap and won the race. At the end, its the wrong decision but F1 racers must take risks. A good effort by Michael though. He constantly out performs the cars capabilities. People are saying Michael should quit, but when you see drivers maxing it out like that, makes you wonder how many more drivers have these kinda abilities nowadays.
