let us talk about wheel lug for sport rims now ! in the market thre are lots of type so which one best for quality / durability / pricy / safety ? :emoticon_U:

last time people say it is safe to use bullet nuts coz theifs cannot steal them easily... but since now it is getting more and more common, i dont feel any safety adi...

i currently using allen key lug nuts only ler... no money change better theif-proof ones... hahaha.....

i was thinking about this problems too. coz i intend to change to the one in my siggy... so, was quite concern about it getting stolen by thieves. i heard that there are those theives-proof lugs that can protect your rims... but i'm scared that if they get so frustrated then they might do something else like smash your windscreen or put loads of dents in your ride... or even burn it like the theif that got fed up with a truck with lots of locks on it...

does the theif-proof lug nuts cost a lot?

bullet nuts are ok .... but the socket to lock n unlock the nut very easily damaged or broken off !
hav u seen the star type nut ? same size like allen key type but more strong !
my experience bro .... bad luck using that allen key type coz it easily become round n liao wen want to open :( hav to weld another nut on it n strike open ! wil damage the rim liao .... for a cheap nut ! u wil damage ur rims ! liao !

I know waht u mean. that's why my car still run on standed-mended steel rims and tayar sotong. peace of mind for me......don't think anyone wanna curi my rims, unless the guy wanna curi for his pasar malam umbrella stand..kekekeke

hehe... but now i'm no longer running on normal 13" steel rims leh... thats why takut.... if last time i have no mercy at all... park at backlane like nobody business... now park car also find bright area... hahaha...:confused_smile:

having a bosskit, u can remove ur steering wheel easily so nobody can drive ur car away.... but what if the theif has a steering wheel??...

the star type is a stainless steel one i abit heavy i think but i seen online here its sold at RM99 but i think outside wil b more cheaper a bit plus if u say i beli only pasang myself .... hehehehehe
wil update the price wen i purcahse one for my ride :)

ayaya.....there is no 100% device in the market that deter car theft. Besides, these device are design to PROLONG the process of stealing, hopfully it would discorage car theft (so that the thief would look for another car?? hehehe). It also depends on how bad the thief wanted to steal the car/items on the car, how skillful and how prepare the thief with his "tools". Just buy what is affordable, within ur budget, practical and park the car in the safest place you can afford to...

If all are said and done and the car/item really kena curi oso, than that is just crummy luck.....

btw...some bullet nuts r too long leh...untill longer then the rims surface...dunno how to say....like u c from bhind...the center pop up spinning...its the bullet nuts...for me i dun like it...not nice..shorter 1 will be just fine.

yeah yeah.... same with allen key but the shape is star... similar pattern u can find in the screws in ur HDD.... thats why till now i cannot pop open my HDD... hahaa... dunno where to find the allen key to open such star shape screws....:confused_smile:

bro ..... it easy to open ur HDD coz i hav open tons of them to take the magnet :) and use it as fuel saver ..... hehehehe
jus go any hard ware shop and ask for precision screw driver n they wil show to ..... i bought here in my hometown at a local hardware shop for only rm10 la bro it comes a set consists of 6types of special head drivers ! cheers bro :)
