let say got a nice scene on a movie n i wanna CUT it out...
got this kinda software bor??

wheres your source from..vcd?..dvd?

you might wanna try using quicktime 6 pro player to convert ur source files(VCD.. .dat file) into a mov..and use adobe premiere to edit the parts you would like to compile.

if ur using MAC,then the most simple software to do it is iMOVIE..
you want more control and full features than get a Final Cut Pro..

for PC, i'm not mistaken you can use Adobe Priemere..

and you can me make dvd/vcd/mpegs 4/anything..

n drag it out
n save at my HDD

simple...folow my guide

go kazaa..
download

ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO 7.0 and install

then insert your vcd...

open the ulead programe

then go to 'edit'...youll see on top of the screen

then open the vcd file.
click ok

you see an icon of your vcd onthe right side..


click on it

you see a barin teh middle...drag to the time 'teh 5 mins ' you want.

drag the same icon to teh timeline

then..go to 'share '

and save the video in to vcd mode

done

If you're interested to download your movies from your analogue/digital camer/dv camera to the computer for editing i recommend you use Dazzle from Pinnacle Systems. Don't bother with the cheap USB or USB 2.0 ones, they're just not fast enough for good quality pictures. Get a SCSI or Firewire version. They sometimes packsaged with the SCSI or Firewire PCI card. They also come with very good software for beginners and intermidiate.

Price should be above rm200 below rm1000, depending on the package.
