Turbo Kits

noob at turbo so please forgive the ignorance.

i'm just wondering whether there are any turbo bolt on kits for the Proton 1.6 SOHC engine.

where can i find them if they are available and how much would they cost roughly.

got! Eon motorsport bolt-on turbo kit.... kinda expensive to do up the bolt-on properly so maybe better u go engine transplant??? VR4 RS would b nice :)

I do have supercharger kits for this engine as bolt-on procedure and you could refer to my GTI review post....Just read them thru and you will get a clearer picture of what is this kit about and where the gains are....Will be ready by April 05... :rolleyes:

Proton got custom supercharger for WAJA. For turbo, I think they have, heard a friend said, but expensive. Maybe u can go to workshop and customize one.

There are quite a few of them for sale under the "For Sale" thread sometime ago. Dunno if its still available or not.

As long as you can find a turbo-kit for 4G9x, chances are, you are able to fit them into your 1.6 SOHC.

EMS used to have this kits available last time for like RM6800 if Im not mistaken. There was a turbo-kit available for PV6 too if I'm not wrong. Last I heard, they have closed down and been replaced ever since by R3 as the motorsport division for Proton.

Proton turbo kits are going for around 8k brand new if not mistaken... u can try scouting around for a 2nd hand wan.. else u can custom your own

Go get a custom made one done lar... but its going to be expensive... custom made exhaust manifold costs over 1k.

ive aledi stuck with VR4 so have to make plans for changing a smaller wan lar....uwaaaaaaaaaaaa........
