Toyota RAV4 2001 D4 engine

hi, i have just get a 2nd hand RAV4- 2001, D4 engine, 4WD.
but find out the fuel in very bad condition,
i made a full tank in RM90, but just can get around 290km-300km in city drive,
is that normal for this D4 engine??

please let me know the solution, thanks

Very high fuel consumption..is look abnormal already. Need to diagnosis ur car. See what problem.

really? coz i have sent to 2 workshop, but they said 4wd is like this one.......of coz i dun believe......

try find leaking in your fuel system..

it smells like petrol

The consumption is definitely on the high side, even though its a FWD and the car is heavier than a sedan.

Perhaps the car need some tuning.....Have you taken it for check up at toyota service centre?

The fuel consumption can be high, esp when your right foot is aggressive.....
