You are correct. The mini vtec was timed at 2:42.887 Full track on the 27-08-04 during the Classic car race.

You are correct to say that the car is very heavy considering it's a mini. A std mini should be around 650 Kgs but this car weights in at around 800 kgs.

allmost right there minicooper! a std mini is around 800kg but you can remove around 200kg if you know where to cut off without loosing the strength of the chassis. so that 600kg! and if you got a 200hp motor pushing it woooooooooooo heavenly! of course with some sticky'icky tyres will help and some good suspension system. :D
i think peters vtec is more then 800kg because he welded a whole vtec front end+subframe on the front with alot of excess metel holding it down. but its just a hunch. anyway his got a quick 1.8 vtec motor under the hood pushing all the excess weight. but its still phukka fast! :P

So is there any proper clubs that organise events in Sepang with proper timing apparatus? There is one SIngaporean club but I don't seem to see any local car clubs organising something regularly in Sepang.. maybe we should start one...

actually what we need is a good organizer that can organize for zth n their friends to have a closed track day...after we achieve this...im sure the timing stuff is easy lliao......with a little bit more money...can bisik2 to sepang staff to use their stuff to take timing...........

Count me in on any of these man... Once I get my suspension sometime this week I'll participate in any event as long as $$$ allows :D

a close session of 3 hours at sic cost around 6k to 8k.............unlike those wealthy singaporians its rather hard to organize one unless we got something like 30 to 40 participants in order to make it happen :( Just pay rm130 for a 3 hours ride in sic during normal sunday track day would be more realistic but then again sic is close until end of march for track day....................cheers.
