Semi Synthetic Engine Oil change recommendation

I am currently using a semi synthetic oil for my Honda Civic. I am at cross road on whether to do the next oil change at 5000 km (standard oil change) or 10000 km as recommended by some of the mechanics.

I was also told that it would be safe to change the oil somewhere at 7500 km as to keep the engine in good condition as stretching the mileage would increase the risk of wear and tear of the engine and it's components.

Can someone suggest what's the best mileage oil change for semi synthetic oil.

If you need the brand, it's Castrol.

5000km....the oil might last longer, but not the standard oil filter...i'm using castrol also, but lately no nice free gift ler....

So, what's the conclusion for this topic........ how far we can go with a semi synthetic oil as i get a different answer from 2 mechanic recently. WTH.......

for VTEC engine better change every 5000km!!!!!!

for sohc every 7500km to 10000km!!!!!!

What about sohc VTec ? Izit different mileage that we can go compare to Dohc VTEC ? Think it's advisable to change the oil at 5-6000 km right......

last time when i'm using sohc non vtec i change 7500km to 10000km...using big v i change every 5000km......for sohc vtec also i think around that, 5-6k km interval
