Hi peeps, im looking into upgrading my satria 1.6's exhaust system cause the current one is kinda old and i would also wants some extra grunt.

questions i have for you satria sifus:

1. what diameter size should the piping be for a 1.6?
2. go for 4-2-1 extractor or 4-1 extractor?
3. throw away CAT or not?
4. considering straight flow piping instead of s-flow, wise choice?
5. what are good mufflers that provide the least amount of noise to performance?
6. go for drop-in air filter or open pod?

I am not looking into spending a whole bomb on this system so keep that in consideration. I want the set up to allow me to have the occasional sprint and run around but i am not looking for top speed, just better torque and acceleration.

thanks in advance!

this what ive suggest b4 for my frens 4g92p..

1 3/4 inch piping, following original route, 4-2-1 extractor with drop in air filter..the outcome is car accelerates more smoothly, better throttle response with f/c is still quite the same (depends on how much u press the pedal)..

my 2 cents..

thanks mrmasen, that was also the same advice my friend gave me. He noted that i shouldnt go more than 1.7" diameter piping and follow back the original routing. Oh of course im going to de-CAT my car so there is less air flow restriction.

But one thing. The original routing is kinda curvy.
So i was thinking i should try to reduce the amount of curves or might as well go straight piping and don't care about noise pollution. But then again i scared kena jpj road block
