Poor consumption on an RB engine in Cefiro

Hi Guys,

Was just informed about my friend's problem with his Cefiro with an RB engine in it (forgot to ask which one). Seems like rev until 3k then the engine seems like "stuck" and cannot go up anymore. Fuel consumption seems to be poor. RM50 worth of ron95 runs
Problem was fixed after changing fuel pump and spark plugs, but the problem appears again recently. I suspect engine's running too rich as there's petrol smell. No piggyback installed.

Any suggestions from experiences? Also, any recommendations for mechanic for RB engine that's reasonably priced in PJ? Thanks.

here are a few things to check:

1. MAF Mass Airflow Meter and connection
2. TPS Throttle position Sensor and connections
3. IACV vac lines and connection
4. ECU and Harness connection
5. Check for Vacuum Leaks
