im thinkin of getin a LSD for my 120y.
more towards drifting and autocross uses.

what lsd can i use which will be a hassle free, easy swap?

trying to keep the modification work on the car to a minimum so that i can take it out easily when wana sell the car

hi....

i also drive 120y.. :D

i also looking for LSD... better those no need modification and can straightly bolt on one..
dono which car's one can fit

btw i using a15 engine

yes, i am using the standard engine for the time being.

thinking of changing to a C22 (van) engine.i hear its a quite straight forward swap.1.5L if im not mistaken.

any other suggestion on what N.A (carb) engine that will be suitable for it.
im not really into the hassle of wiring's and ecu's and turbo for this car.

and back to my main question, what LSD...

A friend I know is using an old school GSR turbo rear axle complete with LSD in his datsun 120y model b310. Fits with minor modification but hard to find in good condition. An 86 LSD rear axle can also be fitted with some modification. Correct me if I'm wrong. :p

a15 was from vanette c20..correct me if im wrong..

Import spec datsun Sunny B310 also have A15 engine.

It's a 1488cc pushrod 4 cylinder with 2 barrel down draught carburettors pumpin 80 hp in stock trim.

I would suggest L16 engine from datsun 510SSS/1600SSS or 160J since it's a 1595cc OHC 4 cylinder with twin side draught 'SU' carb pushing 109 hp:D

tq for ur further info..

oic.....
GSR one or AE86 one...
seem like both also need modification....

but GSR one more common right?
cause so many ppl swap to GSR engine...
so must be many halfcut left outside there...

btw..
yes.. A15 is nissan C20 engine.. :)
direct plug n play..
no need modify mounting, no need change gearbox
even the looks also same.. hehehe
only thing need minor changes is the exhaust extrator..
just the place difference tiny bit

im abit confused about the GSR lsd.
which gsr are you guys refering to?
im assuming its those 4wd gsr that ppl normally put into their wiras is it?

whats the price range are we looking at
when comparing the GSR lsd to the AE86 lsd(hope the toyota kaki's havent induce a price hike on the ae86 parts....)

so a c20 vanette's engien will be a straight drop into the datsun?thanks for the info guys.

jus wondering, will the original 120y engine will be strong enough to do "power over" drifts......
