Locking Gas Caps

I just bought one. Cost about $15. Did anyone else buy one. Are you also scared somone might siphon your gas? I have an '89 Suburban and it has a HUGE tank. At $2.50 per gallon it costs a fortune to fill. I already lost one regular cap at the pump and I have no place to put the cap. I paid $15 for the locking cap and do not want to lose this one. Any suggestions?

Friend said they could make something

A friend of mine suggested that he could make something to hold the cap for me, but he said it would cost $15-20. What do you think?

Back here in Malaysia, we don't need to lock gas caps. Almost nobody siphon's gasses out of car.

Gas is another term of petrol and yes, I've never heard of anyone having their caps stolen in Malaysia.
