Just purchase an Ascend

Hi all forumers. Recently I have bought an Ascend 1.6 auto. It quite a good car. Everything is in good condition except it has a rough idle. I found O2 sensor already malfunction and disable it.
But still idle is not satisfaction.

i admire this car.. better check the throttle body. might be idle control valve gone. or maybe the hose u need to connect back. u cant disable the 02 sensor as the ECU might not reading well.

yup, most likely the idle valve not in good condition. Yes, I'm aware that ECU need feedback from O2 sensor. I bypass the O2 sensor temporarily before get a replacement. If I connect the O2 sensor, the idle is very bad. Sometime the engine stall.

then, get it change soon. u get a 1.6L detomaso engine?

I'm not sure it is deto engine or not. Coz i dont know how to differentiate between ori ascend engine with deto engine.
But it has dark grey rocker cover

and it has red daihatsu on top of rocker cover? if yes, it is de tomaso engine..
