Is Toyo Proxes T1r Better Than Advan Neova Ado7?

Guys,

I've been driving my EP91 with AD07 since the past 2 years. Prior to that, I've tried Bridgestone Techno 50, Falken ST115, and Falken Azenis. Albeit the quite high, but tolerable, noise level, I find AD07 is the best.

However, I would like to know if someone can put up a review on his personal experience of Toyo T1R. The reason is, my AD07 have worn out and would like to try T1R. Is T1R better than AD07 in wet, dry, and hard cornering? Is T1R more expansive than AD07 (195/15/50)?

Hi,

I've been using it for almost a year. 195/50/R15
In the beginning, the noise level was cool. I love it...so peaceful but after 6 months when it started to worn, the noise level it kinda little high. I've driven with AD07 and comparing to my T1R, the T1R has the advantage in wet but dry, i would say AD07 is the best so far of what I've experienced. Hard cornering is still acceptable but don't expect it to have the performance exactly like AD07 tho it's not that very bad compare to Ad07. I would say it's still above average. As for the price, I got it for RM5 cheaper compare to the AD07. I'm not sure about the current price.

Overall, I would say it's a good tyre and it's an all rounder, well balance. Wear and tear also good (comparing to Dunlop SP9000

the widest they have was 195/55 series..
Cant get wider...

i have been using toyo proxes t1-r...thumbs up... no regrets..good in the rain.. cheaper than ad07

hi all, for my own opinion, T1R are good because it is much balance compare wif AD07 but if u're a more hardcore driver i think tat AD07 is still the best. i get my 195/55/R15 for T1R is RM280 and RM260 for AD07

noise level...not bad...its tolerable...grip is quite good in the dry as well...of cos nothing can beat ad07 in the dry...but still good and got grip when taking corners in the dry and the rain......

Well, I think for original AE101 or 111, the standard size shoulf be 195/55/15. So, your 195/55/15 should be the correct spec. Normally people tend to use 195/50/15 is because of it low profile, which look more sporty, but sacrifice a bit on comfortness.
For the speedometer different, I heard some say it's just very less affected (around 5% if not mistaken), but just don't know how true is it.

The original AE101 and AE111 corolla in malaysia is using 185/60/ 14 inch.

185/6014 is 578 mm diameter

195/50 15 is 576 mm (but with lower stiffer sidewall so less deforming)

195/55 15 is 596 mm which makes it 3% larger than the 14's
