Friend, my Coupe battery flat again this morning, maybe drive too little, didn't drive it for a week and the thing happen again. (My battery just 3 months old) Need to send to workshop to check, thinking of taking out the Volt Stabalizer and earth grounding wire. Possible also the Alternator is gone. Any idea how much is the Coupe Althernator cost?
 
first of all, jump start or recharge your battery and start the car. when engine idle, take out the battery.if the engine died, your altenator gone.
save money bro, go to recond shop CM liew at taman setapak indah. yours should be the same as mine, 75A right? price they quote around rm150 for 3 month warranty.they do recoil stator,replace rotor and new carbon brush.
i'd my previous car replaced for 3 years already and it running beautiful.
btw, they also can send it to your place (klang valley).just call: 012 3332897, 4002110637,40227225.
worth buying.

75A, i hope you are referring to the Alternator Model number (or battery?)

I just called CM Liew (012 3332897), he told me that his wireman not longer with him, so he don't do that service anymore. LOL

enquiry further, he also told me that he have no spare part for Hyundai Coupe. Suggest me to get a new original alternator, RM580. :biggrin:

abv, just contacted Sun Eng Hup, second hand alternator, RM180. Not sure wanna try or not..

Haha... so sori la bro. Actually my coupe had a prob wit de driveshaft. So maybe on de middle of May my car will be in good condition. Im so so serious and really intrested bout this convoy.

Im thinkin bout to make sure my coupe in a good condition before seeing all big Taiko. :P

Erm others (coupe owners)?Any feedback? Or u can open this convoy for any model of hyundai cars.
 
driveshaft got problem? that might not be cheap man, take car.

actually drive shaft price for original is about RM 600 for left and another RM 600 for right
however if the head of the drife shaft outside then u can replaced it with japanese product its about RM 250

Dear BlackSamurai.....,

Hi man and all yu Hyundai Lovers... I just got my self a Hyundai Coupe 1996 (M) . It is already abt 1 month having it... Bought it for RM 36,800...for 9 years......

I would like to know what is the engine specs for that model.....?
The car do have some problems like :-
1. Air cond problem
- Bladdy hell man when i bought the car the dealer just pump in the aircond it only lasted 10 minutes then i can feel the engine heat form the aircond.I got to him back and he would just do to the same thing.... I got feed up and did the repair by sending to my own mechanic. With him the aircond only lasted abt 2 weeks then back to hot again.He checked everything from the Aircond coil , the Valve and so on... but i think he did not check the Aircond Compressor.

My question is it the Aircond Compressor got problem....that cause such
problem. ? Pls Assists Man

2.Tap pad problem... There is some noise coming out from the engine but a mild one lah.....can it be resolved by putting STP lubrication to cover the wear outs....

3. Radiator leaking...how much is a radiator or can they use the same radiotor again just by servicing it......

4.There is leaking at the top of the Behind seat.........when back to dealer and he only use back the same rubber.... Any info on the rubber for hyundai coupe is it expensive to change the whole set....?

Body is quite good and overall engine performance is okie....

By the way i really loved to join yu guys but i need resolved some problems with my car first....

Welcome sasi2mano!we already discuss bout aircond prob. U can read it in Coupe RD aircond prob.

It sound like a leakage at the cooling coil, I experience once. You can get a second hand Elantra aircon cooling coil if you want to spend minimum money on this issue. A brand new cooling coil shall last more than 5 years. I got a brand new cooling coil and the set (the Denso expansion Valve, Receiver Drier) for RM800.

No idea, but an (beautiful) female Coupe owner told me that she get a replacement for RM600

Wanted to know which part you talking about. If it's the rubber, you may query from Hyundai Spare part department Manager, Azman. PM me if you need his number.

Actually not good also can join. :biggrin: but i know, most of the Coupe onwer will not show their car if it's not in "presentable" condition. :biggrin:

Eastbay, I also had some problems with both of my driveshafts!!!
And I've replace both of them this month only!!! Cost me RM 730!!!

i just bought the radiator form RM 580
original new one..
then workman ship about RM 40
then replace everything worz.

Hey pal..regarding your engine.. check whether.. your casket was burn a not
its dangerous

Waaa...both? cost u rm730? Means that rm365 per unit. Im thinkin to ask my mech first either they got to replace it or just service it. Will update later.

This month also i got to change my engine oil, gear oil. Walaa... :shades_smile:
