hotbits 421/cat con

hey to all zth members,

i drive a neo cps,plan to change my extractor with hotbits 421. will they remove the cat con to put the new extractor?

i dont know if this topic has been discussed or not,lazy to search la..hehe

IMHO, all fitment of aftermarket extractor (hotbits included) will remove the standard cat con... that's why in the rest of the world, aftermarket extractor often labeled as "cat delete option, suitable for off-road only.."

change to a freer flowing one... i can't remember where i read this, but any proton with cps engine has 2" exhaust piping straight from the factory, just by changing extractor and mufflers can free up the exhaust a lot...

wah..so,midbox no need to change?..what muffler has like a bassy sound to it?and not so loud la..

since you're going to fit hotbit extractor, why don't go all the way and bought the whole exhaust kit from them?

Yes not necessary to change it..Currently i'm using Marco headers and hot bits stainless steel single tail pipe rear muffler..Got big improvement for sure..It Has a very nice sound to it..Plus got silencer..So with the silencer its not loud and slightly bassy sound..Deffinately not loud from inside but outside can hear..And you remove the silencer, haha different story..call drex chan to get the best deal on the rear hot bits muffler..He has a last set for the hot bits rear muffler..I wanted to get the hot bits complete exhaust system but the price has increased by almost 50%!! Mid section and rear section only is RM1300!! Headers another Rm700..Its seriously crazy..

For any Neo, CPS or non-CPS, changing the header and the rear muffler will be good enough.

for the extractor im not sure, but for the exhaust system, i hv tried them and i dunt like it. btw im not driving a neo, myvi owner.

HB system for Myvi is a failure. =P
