It will be full steam ahead at Honda Malaysia’s Alor Gajah plant from August onwards as production will resume to 100 per cent output. In fact, the plant will try to increase production units by operating additional hours on weekdays as well as Saturdays to try and make up for the shortage supply from April to July due to the earthquake in Japan.
“Honda associates in Japan have worked tirelessly with our suppliers since the disaster in March to recover the supply of component parts from Japan. Hence, we are pleased to announce that we are able to resume full production much earlier than previously expected,” said Yoichiro Ueno, Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Furthermore, Ueno also added that bookings for the Honda Insight will resume from 1 June 2011 onwards. Bookings for the Insight have been suspended since 7 April 2011 due to slow production in Japan.

We also apologise for the inconveniences caused during this period.
