HID and Reflector

Just installed a set of HID kit - brand ECON (HI/Lo). Just wondering if some of you can share some of ur experiences.

I currently drive a RAV4 and the head lamp has got a reflector in it. When I try to use the hi beam, the reflector is blocking the light and therefore my high beam is not very high.

My installer recommend me to remove the reflector inside the headlamp but this requires opening up the headlamp. What I worry is if I open up the headlamp and remove the reflector, I worry that water/moisture might seep in because ... I always believe that once something is opened it isn't original anymore. Have anyone come across this b4? If so is it wise to remove the built in reflector in the headlamp?

I drive outstation alot and the high beam to me is very important.

Bro... outstation not the north-south highway kind la... The karak - kuala lipis kind. Where there are virtually NO streetlamps at night.

And besides I turn the high beam down if i see on coming cars.
