Something wrong with my engine?

1.3 Gli Injection

1, 2 and 3 gear no prob

when cruising above 3k rpm on 4th and 5th

the engine checklight turns on

need some advise from u guys b4 sending it to the workshop

b4 that nothing, didnt touch any of those wires

what u mean is the 'check engine' lights izzit? i dun think got fuel injection lights 1 wor... what happen when the check-engine lights is ON when u are crusing? IF your RPM cannot go beyond 3K rpm..and your car is like very very underpowered, u may have a faulty connection to your air-flow sensor. Have the connection checked. If your car dun have air-flow sensor, have your O2 sensor and relay checked. I think got short-circuit somewhere. Injectors seldom spoit until check engine light is ON. hope this helps. :) good luck

like VTEC or Mivec not enuf engine oil also 'check engine' will ON if u press the gas pedal all the way down.. coz Vtec or Mivec cannot engage. But 1.3GLi :blink: I dunno.

my car can go above 3k rpm
if i cruise above 3k the check light will glow (the yellow one)
its annoying :(
seek opinion from here b4 bring my car to the workshop ;)

well..my car have the same thing.. when i over drive it,the engine check light will appear! Some more the air-con gas doesn't function.Only blow winds...happened since the day i bought my car on 2003.any 1 can help ??

hmm and some more..the car air con is working after i stop the engine and r-start it . izzit air con failure ? gonna check out soon .. ned some help from al the sifu's here.

must be the air sensor? if not, something's not right, obviously!

hmmmm, i had the same prob last time, i had this replaced once... knock sensor... i honestly don't know...

but usually it has to do something with your air flow sensor...

hope someone will help you out, take it to your trusted workshop is the best thing i guess...

hi...
i hv a same problem with u too...

so...i send my car 4 MUT test...and it cost me RM50..expensive like s**t..

and come out a result saying that...i hv to change my 'KNOCK SENSOR'
the MUT test will print out what is wrong with our engine + wiring...

so i think u better go 4 MUT test first...

just checked on my reciept. did it at my dad's friend's workshop.
