some description i found on the net:

"Adding a pressure sensor allows the tuner to dial in A/F and timing using pressure vs. RPM, rather than MAF. Without a pressure sensor, the tuner is tuning "blind". "

basically it reads your boost pressure and supply it to your emanage via the boost interface.
