Gearbox problem

Hi,
My tranny is very hard to engaged,all gears incl.reverse.What seems to be the problem?Changed the gear oil already,but still have the problem sometimes..
Any ideas/solutions?Any good gear oil to recommend for B16a?

Get your car to Amoil to check if your syncro is still in good condition. If your syncro is good and your gear oil is just change.. then your internal of your gearbox might have problem (gearbox pecah)..

So hopefully it is your syncro la.. cause it cost less la.. :)
Wait no longer before it lead to you to gearbox pecah problem..

I also have this problem with my 5th gear.. But mine is internal got problem.. The gearing tooth patah one d... Lucky got it replace for FOC from Amoil Motorsport.

Check gear linkage and the bushings also. No need to open gearbox to check this. Very easy one.

Yeah. Don't buka gearbox 1st. check all the other thing 1st.. If everything is ok then only buka gearbox..

Once buka you need to spend on workmanship and stuff like that..

Anyway...im still a bit blurr on this one as this usually happens when im driving in town(heavy traffic),lots of gear changes,but not so when im driving fast...
From ur opinion guys, does this have to do with the gear internals or it just need an oil change?My 5th gear do`mesh`when engaged...

How much will it cost me for an EG6 manual gearbox?

P/s : Xenix,im afraid getting my car to Amoil will cost too much $$$ :D ..

my bro's EK3 CVT also undergo overhaul now...
the symptoms is not changing to smoother gear.
so the rpm goes up and down around 2krpm.
reverse gear got unusual sound once engaged.

change the stainless steel+rubber belt, change oil
pressure valve and change another thing which i
forgotten.

it cost RM3k... darn.. expensive...
i rather overhaul. cost buying a used cvt also
cost RM3k at my area, which we don't know
the condition at all.

for ur case, may be it just the belt need to be changed.
it might loose grip. regular oil change and use only recommended
oil.

some vtec guy who use 2 race around batu 3 (those days)
recommends REDLINE brand gear oil... i dunno wats the price
or whether its really that good & where 2 get it! tried jln
ipoh area but havent found it...

u should try reclutching! no KREKKKKK sound no more but
remember it doesnt fix ur tranny.... tengkiuuu 2 all u
