Decarbon Engine and Carb

Hi, can i decarbon the engine and carb by flooring the pedal. Whats the procedure? Like do i need to warm up engine first? Straight away floor it or slowly raise the rpm till the pedal touches floor? How many times need to do it? Do it in Neutral or while on the highway? Thanks :)
