lake315: Can't say what's really wrong with your car. If its the engine mounts then the only way to diagnose it is to look at the mounts or try grabbing your engine when its off and rock it back and forth and see if it moves a lot or not.

nothing major with the car actually .. it is in a very good condition .. this i can ensure you .. good track of record service .. always at the proton service centre not the normal black oil and filter change .. just minor minor stuff, ppl call it wear and tear .. nothing can last forever rite?

change the alternator, mitsu lancer half cut (not enough money to get a new one)

try decarbonizing ur engine. it works for my saga. now doesn't vibrate so much.

ur rpm canot be that high bro...
for idling 1k is consider high.
but when cold starting it wil become higher.
but not that high oso...
for my opinion...ur voltage are not strong and stable.
wen u using a lot of electrical component...the voltage not faster enuf to distribute to every component, and the voltage supply to spark plug wil drop, and canot produce powerfull spark.
that's y the engine wil vibrate, coz the combustion canot burn perfectly.
i recommand u try to use VS.
i dun think the mounting can be the reason.
may be after u change few month...wil facing the same problm oso.

it's the mounting. not at a very bad stage but going there. that somehow cause the noise. the engine mount can't hold the engine like the way it should, and when lotsa electricity being used i.e. air-con, headlamps and such, the engine vibrate, which cause the noise.

another possibility is the alternator. maybe the bearing /or there is something wrong with the bearing.

they have yet to check.

guys, is this true? i don't really agree on the second reason.

My car front part is vibrating heavily recently. Things are fine with the engine oil and other stuff because i change them on time. But i'm not sure whether is it the mounting that's causing the problem or it's the tuning/etc. It's an 11 year old Nissan Sentra. B14. any suggestions?

I'm staying at Wangsa Maju. any workshops recommendation? what price should i expect for the suggested repairs? thanks bros.

the info(s) that i supply you, incorrect. Here is the scenario,

i start my car, it revs up to 2000 rpm, then fall backs to 1000 rpm, stays there for a minute then it falls to 900 rpm. I don't have problem with that. Then i turn on my headlamps, so it starts, it falls down to 800 rpm and every freaking thing starts to vibrate (the most iritating one is my side door window, due to bad workmanship when i install a new sets of speakers). When in idle, i rev to 900 rpm to 1000 rpm, nothing vibrates, but when it falls back to 800 rpm, it vibrates. Then, it'll go up to 900 rpm (no vibration), falls back to 800 rpm (vibrate), during both time, idle and change of gears. Up and down during idle. Is this a common thing? should i not worry or should i do something? a re-tune? or fixing the voltage stabilizer? the mountings? what can effect the tear of the mountings? i'm not a hardcore driver fyi and the car is only 5 1/2 years old.

Don't spend money on voltage stabilizer before you fix the core problem. From what you describe, the problem is caused by your normal idling timing too low.

Timing drop of 100rpm when you turn on lights/air-cond is normal. Just tune the car with air-cond and lights on to idle at 900 rpm. This should solve your problem. If you do not know how to set the timing yourself, go to a machenic to do it.

Chaging the engine mounts would be a good idea as well if its already worn.

It's a Proton, everything will vibrate after 6 months to 1 year but the above should fix your core problem.
