CAI on AE111

just wanna ask anyone out there who install Cold Air Intake kit into their corolla AE111 SEG. need help!

how you install yours? i open the hood. see the filter box there. like no space one.
then u redirect the air intake hose to where? bumper there?

i install on AE82 la... i saw there is a hole...
Ermm... the right side (filter area) between the radiator and lamp got 1 hole 1...
The intake hole will but at the front bumper there.
so.. i recomend u take off your light 1st, then install it..
After install you might need to bend a bit of the hose... that all... happy with ur DIY... :)

jia lat lor like that. i very dumb in this things one. take out lamp?
i see my h.i.d wiring i also confuse liao...then i look at the bumper like no space for me to redirect the hose to a suitable place.

btw khengloong, for ae111 if u are using stock airbox, there is already a stock cai wert.. but the position of the cai not so efficient la...

i don really like the original position of the cai. i wan to redirect down the bumper there see wat's the diff. try mah. dreamy wait ah i post the pic soon

then u have to remove ur battery 1st, then remove the stock cai which runs alongside the battery till the front. you have to cut and mod the cai ur own and redirect it to ur bumper. It's kinda troublesome if u're using stock airbox becoz the opening which travels into the airbox is not exactly round.

but this 1 is using prototype CAI but khengloong try to use back the stock air filter box and added the CAI hose .

i plan to do so. order CAI hose and K&N drop in filter but still thinking how to insert the CAI hose (round) to the stock air filter box. :emoticon_U:

khenglong u try take out ur batery n see da AC switch box bottom ther got a hole... wif a tank ? mine wan is wif a tank but then no use so i take it off n my CAI com up from ther...n direct to d airfilter...ofcoz not stock filter la :_:
mine is like tat lo...not sure urs u go see see

i plan to do CAI for the AE111 stock air filter box with K&N drop in filter.

any 1 buy the stock air filter boc before ? what is the market price ?

it is hard to remove the original air filter hose ? what part we need to remove 1st ?

K&N should cost around RM 320+- & you need to take out your bumper, battery, air hoses, and ...... first. Happy DIY
