CA18DET engine

hi guys,

can u tell me the problems and the best things about this engine since i'm new to it!! maybe nissan sifu's can help me also arrr.... :D

i've done nearly 100% conversion on my datsun 120Y so getting ready to learn everything larr about this engine.....

this engine have many sparepart or not. this engine have fwd n rwd.. form fwd i this form nissan u13 bluebirds sss ...

it can be U12 first generation
or U11

i think jasper can check that from the car chasis plate

mine is rwd, what car does that engine usually comes from?? :o

should be from the S13 chasis 180sx or normal S13

here in sabah, one of the most powerful car with an old skool bluebird with cA18det... of course la fully modified. hehe..

know the owner.. always lepak there. can ask things from him if u want. hehe..

btw, his fren got a 120y like yours, fully drag spec with SR20det, pumping around 600 horses. :D

another guy also driving 120y with CA18det, mildly modified and the car is quite fast laaa! for the time being, he's doing some chassis strengthening and gonna respray the car. hopefully when it's done, i can take some pics of it! hehe

hmmm.... thought so.. my mechanic says it comes from S13, coz from the halfcut aready know larr.... i'm using lancer gsr rear gearbox...

rear gbox? u mean da axle or gbox attached to engine? if rear axle use the GSR axle. If gbox use back the CA18/SR20.

front gearbox using S13, rear axle lorr... using gsr.....

i/c too small, i now using evo III....

why you use the GSR axle instead of S13?

coz my absorber and spring separate one mahh..... the S13 one come in one set!!

well ca18 det... i'm okie with it.. purely driftable but ur fuel systems have to be done neatly.. before this i blow one now all good to go :)
i'm running trust intercool too :)

thats how my engine looks like.
