BOV and intake question

Hie, i'd like to ask abt the funtions of the intake and BOV, what exactly does it do?
and also what type is good for a S5 FC?
and also what would be the diff of a brand new and second hand intake and BOV?

intake and BOV is a different thing....

start with intake... basically.. making your engine breath freely...more fresh air...

BOV is to release the excessive pressure from the manifolds. why release ? no too sure why.. but heard it gain horsepower during shifts...

brand... any brand will do.... Greddy tend to have an aggressive pshhhh sound... trust tend to have a loud pahhhhhhhhhhh sound..... and HKS SQV tend to have chinggggggggg sound... darn loud...

don't forget... can put 2 also.. if u think not loud enough.... can hook up your car audio in the BOV and link to speakers.. taht's loud...

not to forget one thing.... with exhaust... intake.... decat.... ur boost will increase... ... with that... a stock ECU can't handle. ur engine will say bye bye due to not enough fuel. damaging apex seal..

if u just wanna have a BOV... any brand will do.. no difference.. it's just the sound that makes the difference....

RX7's.... we don't boost that big... so.. anything will do.. just don't get taiwan made stuff..

get Greddy... Blitz...HKS...
there are a couple of with unique sound like those WRC cars.. but god knows what brand are they....
