what does 'boost' means in terms of turbocharging? and how does it being measured ?

1. given example, '1.0 bar of boost' what does it mean? is it by forcing another additional 1.0 bar pressure relative to atmospheric pressure to the combustion?

2. does all boost is the same for every turbine? lets say, small turbine and big turbine, both have the same boost, is it the same amount of pressure generated by the turbine ?

boost is preassure that builds up in your engine.measured by psi.1 bar = 14.5038psi

Diffrent turbines diffrent amount of CFM.....so in general TD04 1 bar has a diffrent CFM as a HKS GT 3535 1bar.....
