skim head..

hi..

last weeks my car overheating..
so now my car top overhaul..
here i want ask u guy something..
what happens if we skimming head?
any problem?

since the compression is higher.it would not be any problem,theres a lot of aftermarket gasket out there in which sells thicker gasket.for an example tomei sells 1.2mm,1.5mm and also 1.8mm gasket for the sr20det.

just check with your mechanic,what did he done to you car,how much skim?then gasket using the same spec as the old one?My initial assumption that the CR will be higher,it would not be any problem if everything is done right,just get it check if theres knocking(if its a performance car)
