searching for EVO 7 recon

hi guys,

would like to search for a EVO 7 for a friend, urgent hunt, preferably white with sunroof n of coz....LOW MILEAGE....anybody knows where can I get this ?

if registered, then got..... smoked headlights, 21k km, sunroof, full Riken tint (5% rear glass), c/f interior exterior (small parts though), defi meters with caps, 18" TE37s, original HKS stickers etc etc.......

preferably to be unregistered, however if its a registered, but with very competitive pricing and good condition ( not too many mods ) well I am certainly open to offers.

As for my pricing, correct me if i m wrong, but if i m not mistaken, a 7 mayb not more than 176 rite ?

Anyways, this is just a discussion, pls give me more feedback as much as possible, or if there are salesman in here, I m open to offers to, if can accept trade in even better :)

Last Dec 2004, I'been scouting for E7 also. Finally ended with buying Mit. Galant 2002 (Direct import).

Actually there are few grey importers in Klang Valley such as :-
Min Heng (call 0125005010, i can't recall the saleman name),
Jln Yap Kwan Seng & Jln Ampang (Sykt Taib or something),
TTDI/Bangsar (look for Andrew 012 2333663),
Jalan Cheras (look for George 0123991852),
Kajang town (Mr. Law 012 3332923),
Kg, Pandan (look for Rosli 0192993763).

Got somemore which i can't remember. Don't buy at Naza, their price a bit expensive.

price varies depending on condition, optional accessories, mileage etc. There's one here in penang, black, no sunroof, 46k km, titanium catback, 17" Weds Sports with G-III tyres, Cusco suspension, Kenwood CD player, HKS SPF.... condition is okay... certain parts of the interior (plastic parts) needs to be swapped (shouldnt be a problem)... Asking RM183k, but i'm sure its negotiable.

Yeah.. the plastic parts tend to get damaged/scratched pretty easily :(

If you getting one without mods, be prepared to set aside some $$ as aftermarket parts could be a bit pricey. I suppose most will change to better flowing exhaust system, the air filter and BOV (imho, not really necessary) as their stage 1 upgrade - RM3000 +/- 500 perhaps? After all, what's an evo without the "warrrp" and "whoosh" B)

thanks for the tip..... i should have swapped mine with other evo vii owners as mine was almost near perfection before i got it all carbon fibred up. anyway, the car i mentioned above had some wear and tear even on its inner door panel's handles.

thanks dude...sorry but i am almost looking for a RECON original standard car, been through some shops in jln imbi, i think current price is between 168k -175k the max liao.....

i understand that AYC problems is common, do u guys have any backup plans in the event your AYC konks out on you? touchwood though ...hehehe

Shouldn't face much problem with the AYC if you stick to the service plan. Change fluid on every service (less than 1L anyway) - Noti gave detail guide on what oil to use. AYC could also be damage if there's something wrong with its ECU - programming error that causes premature wear n tear... or something
Last resort - change to Group N diff like its rally brethren - the RS : :D

ayc backup plan ? go to the chop shop and get another unit. :)

the only major problem on the tranny would be the transfer case. Use of oil is important and frequent launching causes it to wear sooner, especially those will huge horses.
