So, I'm here in Kansas. I currently live in South Carolina and was originally from PJ. I've always been wanting to compete at the Premier Autocross event in USA (Probably the world) and finally got here. I just thought I'd post up some of my experience for those interested.

So this is the trip I had to take to make it for this event. I stopped by Starkville to meet up with some friends from the same region. I used to run with the Mississippi Region.

So I dropped by Starkville, MS and helped them load up the Lotus on a trailer and pick up my co-driver.

Here is a picture of our cars at a gas station. In case anyone was wondering, the MX-5 is mine. I used to have an RX-7 but errr...that's a different story.

So we get here safe and sound on Tuesday night. On Wednesday we got to the site and started setting up. The guys at Mazdamotorsports sent me the wrong contingency stickers (Contingency is the prize money or goods given to you if you win). I ordered black stickers but they sent me silver ones. I called to complain bla bla and they said no problem, they should honour the contingency anyway and they could overnight some black ones... I'm running tomorrow in the morning anyway so... no point for them to send them to me.

So setting up the car. After trying to mount my race tyres, my co-driver strips out a front wheel lug nut :(.... no picture but you get the idea.. arrgh...anyway Fixed it and took the car for technical inspection. I'll be running number 183 and my class is C-STock. Again... at this angle.... the MAzda sticker is barely visible... they better pay me my $ if I win!

So I failed tech inspection twice. First time my wheel lug nuts were not fully torqued down and were only finger tight... Second time... we forgot to bring our helmets... but no problem....third time everything was ok.... yay..

Car is ready. Now just wait til tomorrow to compete. There are 28 ppl in my class and 8 trophies will be handed out. I'm in a good car which was the best car for this class for almost 10 year. Things has changed however, now the the Pontiac Solstice and the 2007 Miatas are the best. I think I should be able to pull off a position of 15 out of 28.
