gc8 owners

Hi guys ,

Just wondering in an event to have an engine blow or transmission blow in a gc8 say a non sti but just wrx.

How much does it cost to swap in ver 7/8/9 engine+gearbox into gc8 and can it be done? a rough ball park figure. and any workshop that has high experience doing this?

Am trying to calculate the parts availability etc to own a gc8

bro...i dunno how much it costs but i i have seen a GC8 plonking in a Ver8 engine...complete with DCCD..Brembos front and rear from Ver8...even the Ver8 dash board...he did it at LMY

Easy if you know how to run the wires. Everything else are bolt on (5 Speed). For 6 speed tranny, need rear subframe, rear diff and gas tank.

I think a full engine + tranny should cost less than 10K USD ...
