so in a way D1gp is afiliated with AAM, hence the work permit regulation or race license apply to d1gp-my non-local participants? how about those singapore participants, i think there is 1 singapore participants in d1gp right, doe he/she have a work permit in malaysia? i think the crowd locally or thai or sing would love to see 3 diff country drifting, and battling out to give everyone a good show, talking about promoting motorsport in malaysia, this would be a good base/platform to jumpstart young talent, and i see it as a very healthy motorsport, and you can't deny drifting is a very public sports and is affordable. compare to major races, which require sponsors or you are rich enough by entering as a privateer.
